Wow... it really has been a while since i last updated my blog. Even the chat thing beside has gone missing.

Hahaha. Anyway I am fine. Not much difference. Day in day out doing are routines so not much to update actually. Its going to be a year since i got my Mad Rocks and today for its anniversary celebration, I got myself harness from CAMP. Yeah. That is my birthday present for myself. Haha.

Haze gone. Rain is here. :)

I wanna get some rest then go out. My ex-manager's wedding is today. Yum seng har.

As my friends would say, same same but different.

Azzurri vs Les Blues

Alas the finals boil down to these 2 teams. At the beginning of the match I never half expected them to get to this stage as there were other hotter favourites, but they went crashing out and was sent packing home. Haha.

Mmm... if both teams played in their best, it would be really realy nice to watch. I especially loved the Germany vs Italy match. Germany got a whammy and 2 minutes later another one. Double whammy! It was really a great match. Lucky I managed to get up to watch it, at extra time. :P . So far this is the match that I dragged myself up to watch.

Think I will root for the Italianos. The Azzurri. I like to go for the underdogs. As I believe a lot will be putting their faith on the Les Blues.

Anyway there is still Germany vs Portugal. The fever is still running high but soon it will be going off. Given another week I suppose. So here is my "Get Well Soon" wishes. :D

2pm. 21st June 2006.
This time of the hour I was still wandering on the streets of Bangkok. Around Siam Square precisely. My 5 days 4 night trip in Bangkok, Thailand was considered fun. All these years, my brand of fun was mostly involves lots of sun, sand, water and trees. So this time is a little different. Instead of being somewhere secluded and serene, I found myself pitched on the chaotic grounds of Bangkok city. The traffic of automobiles and people was terrible. But as the tour guide says, compared to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur which have 2 session of jam, Bangkok only has 1. Which is from morning till night. (it was funny till the guide kept repeating it for around 3 minutes). Time now is 3pm 22nd June 2006. Back in my cubicle. Yeah...f l a t...

It was mainly all shopping and eating. Shopping is kind of fun because you have to hunt high and low. The always courteous smile makes you feel at ease. Tried bargaining but I still need to learn. Went shopping in Chatuchak, Suan Lum Night Bazaar, Siam Square, MBK, Pat Pong and Siam Paragon. For sight seeing, I had a half day tour down the river that separates the city. Temples springs up on left and right. The royal palace. The gem stones factory. The honey farm. The result of all these is a pair of aching legs and back.

Food was nice too. Some very hot and spicy stuff. Sweet. Sour. Salty. The beef and pork is what I mainly go for. You get pork sausages by the road sides too. That you will never see here. Anyway on this journey, I brought along a camera so this post will be short. I will post some of the photos I took while I was there. I missed out on a lot of photos. Have not been on a photo taking rampage for years. Mmm... I don't think I could recall any.

The people there were celebrating their King's 60th birthday. Many wore yellow tshirts and yellow wrist bands too.

Did I mention a lot of the chicks there are very pretty? What about the infrastructure? Their public transport? Their chicks? Their food? Designs?

Climb Till You Drop 21st May 2006

Finally it's over. And what a day it had been. The competition was great. You get to see some of Asia's best climber gather under one roof and competing against each other in a friendly manner. Very cool. I got the number 108 and ML was 203.

The night before the whole thing though was eventful too. Had a friend came down from Penang and a few of us got together and hung out. Ampang Yong Tow Foo came first. Followed by Poseidon ( <- entertaining ) and lastly a Japanese buffet which I forgot their name. We came upon it by chance because Sasake was closed for renovation. First we thought, shit... wasted the parking fee. But suddenly some flashing neon lights caught my eyes and upon closer observation it says Japanese buffet. So we marched into the restaurant and the manager said that it was their first day of operation. Ooo... no wonder the flowers still look fresh.

Stuffed my face as usual with sashimi, unagi and stuff that I can't remember the names. The place, food presentation and taste was not that great compared to the Jagoya in Starhill but hey, its only half the price. At the back of my mind while I was swallowing mouthfuls of raw, semi-raw and cooked stuff, was... will mixing all of these together make me the victim of diarrhoea like last time. ( It was a nightmare. Will talk about it next time ) Luckily it did not. It turned out fine. Phew.

The anticipation of the competition was overwhelming. My hands and feet will go cold and heartbeats increased. Sweaty palms too. And constant reminder ooo the agony. My slept was considered quite ok though I woke up a few times and had a dream about wearing specs to the climb which proved annoying with it slipping on and off. It made me brought along an extra pair of contact lenses. Haha. Just in case the dream premonition came true. It was a good sleep compared to the night before the marathon. ( Check previous post )

Morning light shines through. Its time. After a considerably full breakfast, off I went. Drove with windows down cos it was still fresh in the morning. Not much cars. Put on a calm composure as much as possible. ML reached the place earlier than me. And she messaged me when I was about to reach. Before that I was flooring the gas paddle. But after reading her message I kind of went easy on it. Maybe wobbly knees attributed to the delay. It was a one liner that goes like this : A lot of geng chao ppl here!

Upon reaching the place, the normal entrance was closed. Made me wandered around before getting on the elevator and onto the wrong floor. Had me rushing everywhere because the management sealed off a lot of area. The complex's operating hours was at 10am. I was there at 8.30+am. After much effort I found ML sitting far away from the crowd. Her weak smile greeted me and I sheepishly returned it. She was mumbling away like we should not have entered kind of stuff, which I wholeheartedly agreed but had to fake it and said the opposite, encouraging motivating words, cos we already paid RM50. Haha...

The monstrous boulder wall made me shiver. A full bladder made it worse. The sight of climbers scares me. Sealed off toilets preventing me to take a leak takes the cake. Went up and down a few floors with ML behind me and all are closed. God damn it.

Trivia Question : Have you ever cursed and scold those who pee in elevators and stairs?

The climb started slow for Team Slow Mo ( obviously ) but we made it up slowly. Lucky did not name our team High & Mighty or something cool. Brr... Cleared 10 routes of top rope out of 20 and only 1 route of 12. Pathetic. Haha... I should be able to do 2 boulder route if I chose a different one on the other side. Dumb. But all in all, it was great fun. ML did very very good which was very encouraging too. Thanks for coming along for the ride.

Had a lot of laughs over the weekends. Great.

Week 20th of 2006

I have been watching a lot of anime (japanese animation) this week. Put the blame on my brother. Finished chasing Demon Eyes Kyo. And now am laughing my head off with School Rumble. Its good entertainment for me. And I have been doodling more often than usual too. Is it because of the new sketchbook, the new pen, the new mechanical pencil or the new eraser? Looking at great work of others sure helps.

Whats up for the weekend?
One of my exhousemate is coming down from Penang and we are planning to crash at my exhousemate's exgirlfriend's house together with another exhousemate. Been nearly 5 months since we got together and we plan to go have some makan makan session again. Where to eat le? Sasake came to mind. Or it was suggested really. Japanese buffet again. Oh well, one thing for sure is that I will be stuffing my face and pigging out as much as I can. But there will not be any alcohol session this time round, cos I can't. More like I don't want to. I don't want to get wasted on Saturday cos I want to go climbing on Sunday.

And this Sunday is SUMMIT ROXX - Climb Till You Drop. Its a climbing competition. Yes, if you are wondering, the answer is yes. This is the ass whooping that I mentioned earlier in my post. I got myself enrolled in it. And along for the ride, I got ML. I thought that not much people will be in the Team Mix (man and woman), but hell, was I ever wrong. Entering a category where the teams are lesser we might even be in place for prizes right from the start. We would have been winners by default. Crap. Buzzed out. Wrong. Haha... I am getting butterflies in my tummy whenever I think about it. But I am telling myself its just for fun and a learning experience. Yeah I lie to myself often. The cold feet and hands don't help either. Haha... anyway I am sure I will have a blast there. Mmm... Anyway getting to see good climbers there is thrilling enough. ( I am lying again ) Till then, have a nice weekend to you too. I know mine will. ( And again )
